IBERIS is the trading name of IBERIS BV, with its registered office in Brussels, Belgium ("IBERIS", "we", "us").
These Terms & Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and the Payments & Refunds Policy (together, the "Terms"), form the agreement between you and IBERIS for your use of the IBERIS app and the services provided through it (the "Services").
By creating an account or using the Services you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Services. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
You may use the Services only if you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement. You may hold one personal account and must not share it.
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password, device and session secure, and for all activity carried out through your account. Tell us immediately at support@iberis.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
Before certain features become available, you may need to verify your identity. Verification is carried out by our third-party verification providers, and you may be asked for a government-issued identity document, a selfie or proof of address.
We may restrict, suspend or withhold features until verification is complete, and may request further information at any time as required by law or by our providers. Verification does not guarantee that any transaction will be executed.
IBERIS provides software for money management, payments, and social and messaging features. IBERIS is not a bank and does not hold a banking, payment-institution or electronic-money licence.
Regulated activities — holding funds, card and Apple Pay acquiring, bank transfers, and identity verification — are performed by external, licensed third-party providers. Their terms and conditions also apply to the services they provide, and we may change providers where reasonably necessary.
You initiate each payment and are responsible for confirming the recipient and the amount before authorising it. Once completed, a payment to another user is generally irreversible, because the funds belong to the recipient.
Card and Apple Pay payments are processed by our licensed acquiring provider; your card issuer's terms and Apple's terms also apply. IBERIS does not guarantee the availability of any payment method at any time.
You may add money to your balance by bank transfer, card or Apple Pay, and withdraw your available balance to a bank account held in your own verified name. Limits, timing and available methods depend on your verification status and on our providers, and are shown in the app before you confirm.
The balance shown in the app is authoritative and is updated only when our providers confirm a payment. IBERIS never simulates a completed payment.
Some features carry fees. The fee shown on the confirmation screen is the fee that applies to that transaction. We may change our fees and will give you reasonable notice before a change takes effect.
You must not use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in breach of sanctions, anti-money-laundering or counter-terrorism-financing rules, and must not attempt to circumvent limits, verification or security controls.
We and our providers monitor transactions to prevent fraud and meet legal obligations, and may delay, block, reverse or refuse a transaction where required by law, by a provider, or by a suspicion of misuse. We may report suspicious activity to the competent authorities.
We may suspend, restrict or close your account, and freeze funds pending investigation, where this is required by law or by a provider, or to protect users, our providers or IBERIS — for example on suspicion of fraud, a breach of these Terms, or a false identity.
You may close your account at any time from Settings. Closure takes effect once outstanding transactions and any required verification are completed so that your remaining balance can be returned. We keep records after closure where law requires.
Report unauthorised or incorrect transactions promptly through in-app support or at support@iberis.app. Card chargebacks are handled by your card issuer under card-network rules; a chargeback reverses the related balance in the app, and if the funds were already forwarded your balance may become negative, in which case you must repay it.
Disputes about goods or services paid for through IBERIS are between you and the other party; IBERIS is not a party to such disputes.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or data loss, and our total liability arising from the Services is limited to the fees you paid to IBERIS in the twelve months before the event — except where liability cannot be limited by law (for example in cases of intent, gross negligence, or personal injury).
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection or payment-services law. If a provision of the Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.
We may update or discontinue features of the Services and may change these Terms. We will notify you of material changes before they take effect; if you continue to use the Services after that, the updated Terms apply.
These Terms are governed by the law of Belgium, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, Belgium, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform where applicable.
